 Join Our All Saints’ Honduras Team

In 1999, Hurricane Mitch devastated Honduras, the 2nd poorest country in Central America. Motivated by a desire to help, our Honduras Medical Mission was started. We now make the trip to Honduras annually, providing medical and vision care to upward of 1,000 men, women and children – most of whom receive no other medical care during the year.

We will distribute close to 2,000 pounds of medications and vitamins, as well as hundreds of pairs of glasses. We will monitor on-going health issues, check in on growing children, and remind our brothers and sisters in Honduras that they are loved by us.

Missionaries pay for their own travel, and should be fluent in Spanish or possess medical training. We hold a parish-wide pill sorting event each December, and need thousands of donated Ziplock bags for transporting the medications.

All Saints’ Refugee Welcome

Refugees from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan are waiting to settle in Los Angeles. The All Saints’ Refugee Welcome Team works with IRIS — the LA Diocese’s refugee and immigration service organization — to help refugee families with a range of needs, from finding housing, to driving to appointments, to assistance with looking for work, to learning English, to collecting furniture and other household items.

A member of our team is a fluent Arabic speaker, but additional speakers of Arabic, as well as Farsi, Armenian, and Pashto/Dari would also be a huge help. Needs come up depending on each refugee family’s particular circumstances, so people willing to be “on standby” to offer assistance are always welcome!
