Under Grace

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
-Romans 6:13-14

The law can hang heavy in the day to day. So much getting things done, remembered, done right, submitted, checked off, completed. It is easy to forget I am “not under the law, but under grace.“

What does under grace look like? How do I hold on to this in the busyness of the day? Where do I need  to continue to try and where do I need to let go? It is not that work goes away, but grace shows me I am not beholden to whether or not I succeed. I have been freed from the weight of my accomplishment or failure.

What does today look like if sin is not my master, if I live under grace?

Let us pray…

Lord, be with me today as I know you are. Open my heart. Help me let myself live under your grace today. Amen.
