Don’t Be Afraid

But he [Jesus] said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” Then the were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.
-John 6:20-21

Lord, Just for today fill me with your Holy Spirit that I feel your closeness that the shore of safe from the storm may be expectant in my heart.  Jesus you know how easily I drift to despair, not knowing you are close at hand.

Today, as I wear the cloak of your reassurance, may I be a light to others and offer a breath of comradeship for those who speak of being alone or friends who appear to be without.
