Dear Friends in Christ,

As we enter the season of Lent, we find ourselves once again at a crossroads of spiritual reflection and worldly distractions. In a world that often moves at breakneck speed, Lent calls us to pause, to reflect, and to journey inward.

Just as Advent beckoned us to slow down amidst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, Lent invites us to embrace a similar rhythm of contemplation and renewal. While the world around us may be filled with noise and activity, Lent offers us the opportunity to quiet our minds and hearts, to focus on the deeper, more meaningful aspects of our faith journey.

As we embark on this sacred season, let us open ourselves to the transformative power of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Let us commit to carving out time for silence and solitude, for deepening our relationship with God and with one another. There is a tradition of giving something up for Lent - chocolate being a popular choice. I would encourage you to take on a discipline. Think about what kind of practice you would like to embrace during these weeks: an additional prayer, working on a relationship, practice finding joy, or being patient with those around you. Keep it simple and remember that our Lenten discipline is not a race to see who does it best or perfectly - but rather to remember God's loving forgiveness to us and to all of creation.

Here at All Saints’, we have planned a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth and reflection during Lent. From worship services and faith formation programs to outreach initiatives, there is something for everyone to engage with as we journey together towards Holy Week and Easter.

Please take a moment to explore our Lent & Easter calendar below and consider how you might participate in the journey of faith during this holy season. May this Lenten season be a time of renewal, transformation, and grace for each and every one of us.

Your sister in Christ,

Andrea+
