WOMEN’S AFFINITY GROUP
TODAY, Sunday, September 25 @ 7 pm via Zoom
Join us as we welcome The Reverend Kim J. Litsey, who will be speaking to us about Awe & Wonder – A Balm for Anxiety and Willfulness, a reflection on reinforcing our attention in order to renew our spirits. Kim Litsey is an Episcopal priest serving in the Diocese of Arizona and a former member of All Saints’. She has her MDiv from Yale and an MFA from UC Irvine. Kim’s art background informs her theology and will share those connections during our conversation and reflection. Kim is equally interested to hear our thoughts about this provocative period of change and transition we are living in. See this morning’s email for Zoom link and details.
SAGES THURSDAY LUNCH
Thursday, Sep. 29 @ 12 pm in Lower Sweetland Hall
We are thrilled to welcome Kelly Williams, Director of Youth and K-12 Programs at the George Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. Kelly is a wonderful spokesperson for the new museum being built in Exposition Park adjacent to the Coliseum. The Museum will cover the long history of story telling, including but not limited to movie making. She will give us a virtual walkthrough the Museum—the scale of its architecture is creative in both scope and style. A delightful speaker, Kelly’s enthusiasm for the museum is very contagious! RSVP to rrodriguez@allsaintsbh.org by Monday morning Sep. 26 for lunch. A $10 donation will be much appreciated.

Choral Evensong
Sunday, October 2 @ 5 pm with All Saints’ Choir
This service given In Memoriam and Thanksgiving
for the Life of HM Queen Elizabeth II
Join for Choral Evensong, the most uniquely Anglican of services. Many find Evensong to be a service of rare, even mystical beauty. It is, at once an opportunity to lay aside the cares of the world, and a gateway to enter into the courts of heaven. All Saints’ Choir will sing great music from the English tradition by Richard Ayleward, George Dyson, H. Balfour Gardiner and Charles H. H. Parry. A reception will follow on the patio to which all are invited.
JOIN IN THE FUN!
To celebrate the kick-off of the fall season, we’re making a short video and we’d love your help. Please send an email to Colleen Dodson Baker (colleendodsonbaker@gmail.com) by October 1, sharing, in a few short words, what you love about All Saints. Your text will be used to create a video for several exciting events this fall. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Christian Mystic Practice
Wednesdays through November 9, 6:45–8:15 pm
You are cordially invited to join us in Upper Sweetland Hall to explore the mystic tradition, abiding in a God of love, and creating a community of mutual understanding and reconciliation. Barbara Weiler and Daniel Tamm are facilitating this journey through various forms of contemplative prayer.
Each week we’ll focus on a different practice of the presence of Christ in our lives - Lectio Divina, the Taize’ service, Centering Prayer, guided meditation and imaginative contemplation. Remember the operative word is “practice.” You need not be an expert in any form. We are all beginners. Contact the Rev. Daniel Tamm for more info: dtamm@allsaintsbh.org / 310.275.0123 x110.
